Meiji University Offers Anime/Manga Summer Program


Meiji University is offering a program aimed to bring students to Japan this August. The "Cool Japan" summer program is the first program of its kind at Meiji University, which is one of Japan's top private universities. The August 2-13 program includes 12 days of field trips, hands-on studio workshops, lectures by experts, and a trip to Kyoto. The course is available only in English.
Universitas Meiji menawarkan sebuah program yang bertujuan untuk membawa siswa ke Jepang bulan Agustus ini. "Cool Jepang" program musim panas adalah program pertama dari jenisnya di Universitas Meiji, yang merupakan salah satu universitas terkemuka swasta Jepang. Program 02-13 Agustus meliputi 12 hari perjalanan lapangan, lokakarya studio, ceramah oleh para ahli, dan perjalanan ke Kyoto. Program ini hanya tersedia dalam bahasa Inggris.
The program focuses on manga and anime, and it is designed so that students will learn about topics such as: Akihabara's role in anime and manga, how anime received its identity, how manga magazines characterize Japanese manga, J-Pop's influence and global identity, building design in Tokyo, Japanese idols, and a hands-on experience as a manga artists' assistant and much more.
Program ini berfokus pada manga dan anime, dan ini dirancang sedemikian rupa sehingga siswa akan belajar tentang topik-topik seperti: peran Akihabara di anime dan manga, bagaimana anime menerima identitasnya, bagaimana majalah manga karakter manga Jepang, pengaruh J-Pop dan identitas global, desain bangunan di Tokyo, Idola Jepang , dan pengalaman sebagai asisten seniman manga dan banyak lagi.
Cool Japan's instructors are Kaichiro Morikawa, Kate Allen with John Ingulsrud, Hirohito Miyamoto, Yukari Fujimoto, Otaku USA Editor-in-Chief and jaPress co-founder Patrick Macias, Midori Matsui, Azby Brown, Renato Rivera Rusca, Otaku Encyclopedia author Patrick W. Galbraith, Everett Kennedy Brown, Tsuyoshi Ogawa, and Alex Kerr.
Instruktur Cool Jepang adalah Kaichiro Morikawa, Kate Allen dengan John Ingulsrud, Hirohito Miyamoto, Yukari Fujimoto, Otaku USA Editor-in-Chief dan pendiri jaPress Patrick Macias, Midori Matsui, Azby Brown, Renato Rivera Rusca, Otaku Ensiklopedi penulis Patrick W. Galbraith, Everett Kennedy Brown, Ogawa Tsuyoshi, dan Kerr Alex.
The deadline to register was July 8, but it has been extended for applicants who are within Japan.
Batas waktu untuk mendaftar adalah 8 Juli, tetapi telah diperpanjang untuk pendaftar yang di Jepang.
